The cornerstone of faith is rooted in trusting God and starts with what we believe about creation. The person who does not believe the literal biblical account of creation will never have stable faith. If the foundation of all creation is treated as a myth, it is hard to trust God about anything refuted by secular science. What we now know is that everything about the biblical account of creation has been mathematically proven. The reason it was easy for the ordinary Jew to believe in Jesus’s promise of the Kingdom is that they knew it had once existed.

According to many Hebrew teachers, when a Jew heard Jesus refer to the Kingdom of God, they most likely thought of Eden because the Garden of Eden represents both the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven. It was understood that the Kingdom of God was a place where God ruled, and the Kingdom of Heaven was a place where all God’s resources could be accessed. Even still, as great as Eden was, the Gospel of the Kingdom promises us something even better.

As Paul pointed out to the Corinthians, being a Christian is no guarantee for you entering into the Kingdom–the place of rest. You must trust Him to obey Him, for only the obedient will truly follow Him into Kingdom living.
