"To function in Kingdom living we have to make choices based on God's Word."

One of the first laws of Kingdom living is personal responsibility. Remember, Kingdom living happens when, because we trust God, we apply everything He ever said through the motive of love.

Everything we experience is related (directly or indirectly) to our choices. To function in Kingdom living we have to make choices based on God’s Word.

In Deuteronomy, God tells us we must choose life or death, blessings or curses. Religion has taught us to blame God when things don’t go as they should, but God tells us in the Old Testament (and it’s repeated in the New Testament) that we must make decisions. Those decisions are an expression of faith; trust in the character and nature of God as revealed by Jesus.

The first choice we must make is to believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and all that implies, based on God’s Word. Then we must choose to believe Jesus’ representation of God as expressed through His life, teaching, death, burial and resurrection. If we believe all the promises are ours in Christ, we must choose the blessings and reject the curses. This is, in fact, at the core of New Covenant Prayer.
