Coming to Jesus is a journey into developing a loving relationship with God: Jesus called it knowing God. All the details of Jesus’ mission are fulfilled by revealing the true character and nature of God, which makes us love and trust Him. The word for “knowing” God is an intimate knowing. In the Old Testament it was the same knowing that was shared between a husband and wife; something you didn’t share with anyone else, an intimacy where you held nothing back; it was all about love, trust, openness and surrender.
