The Bible teaches us that when all else fails, love is the only thing that has the potential to be effective.Love is not a magic formula. The Bible teaches us that when all else fails, love is the only thing that has the potential to be effective. But we must remember: that type of love is a love that always walks in the truth but tempers that truth with value for the person. When we treat someone in a manner that is based on the truth and we do it in a way that doesn’t demean their dignity and worth, we have handled the situation in the best possible manner.

Not everyone has a heart that responds to love: they don’t respond to our love or God’s love. That is a person who can’t be helped, at least not at this moment! That is usually a person who must go out and face the consequences of their actions and learn by the pain of consequences.

The wonderful truth is that even when the other person doesn’t respond to love, we have guarded our heart by making sure love is our motive for taking actions. Even though you may hurt for that other person and their behavior, your heart is safe when you operate in the realm of God’s love: truth expressed in a way that promotes dignity and worthy.
