If God has given me all things in Jesus why do I have to ask?In Matthew 7:7-12 Jesus taught the famous “ask, seek, and knock” principle of approaching God. In the original language it actually says: ask and keep on asking; seek and keep on seeking; knock and keep on knocking! We think this instruction to persistence is based on our need to persuade God. But if you read the entire passage you realize the reason you keep on is much simpler: if God is a good Father, the answer is always yes. In fact, the Greek word for “ask” implies you already know the answer. A child that knows his or her father has the resources they need and will share them, keeps asking because they never consider the answer to be “No!” JOIN ME this week and expand your understanding of God’s goodness and generosity!
