Universal laws were created by God. They undergird the fabric of all creation: energetic, physical, relational and emotional. These laws operate independent of faith or belief. They operate without God making a decision. For instance; the law of gravity always works. No one jumps off of their car and has to pray to keep from floating upwards.
But many people jump out of their car not paying attention, stumble downward and break their ankle. Then, because of religious teaching, they begin to question why God did this or allowed it. This happened because we were reckless with this universal law.
Universal laws are put into place for our benefit, but when we don’t recognize them, we are often hurt and attempt to attach a spiritual significance. God gets blamed everyday for our carelessness around universal laws. Likewise, God’s Word offers His wisdom about how to manage money and establish loving relationships. We ignore them and are amazed that we face consequences.
God’s Word and wisdom are based on the laws of life, not laws in a legalistic sense. Ignoring the laws of life would be like seeing a stop sign – you know it’s against the law to run it, but you speed through it; you have an accident and your child dies. Then, you’re angry at God wondering why He let this happen.

THANK YOU!!! I started out studying universal laws and go SOOO mixed up!! I wound up off I the toolies somewhere. Deep inside I KNEW there was SOMETHING that I was missing, but I just couldn’t put the pieces together. My programming brought about by my religious upbringing…which included spiritualizing EVERYTHING had me so scared that I was doing wrong and that God was going to punish me for “straying from His word”. My goodness how I wish I had found your ministry 30 years ago!! Thank you for helping me learn how to rightly divide the word of God and to understand that not everything needs to be or should be spiritualized. There IS a difference between the laws (natural, physical, quantum physics, et al) and many of the things that I was taught were evil are NOT…I was taught that they were evil because the person teaching me did not have a good understanding of what he/she was attempting to teach!!! The eyes of my understanding are opening, not to say that “I see”…but to say that I am seeing a little more each day. I choose to remain teachable, for He is the Master, and I am the pupil. Thanks Pastor Jim!!!
