One of the most ludicrous doctrines of religion is that Jesus fought the devil while in the grave. This emerges from the pagan idea that Satan is the prince of Hell and was there tormenting Jesus. Satan has never ruled over Jesus or the human race. He has not yet been to Hell and when he goes he will be bound to the deepest recesses. Jesus used His faith to fight and win the battle of sin and death.
After Jesus arose from the dead, He stripped Satan of all rank and authority and cast him out of Heaven. He is powerless and we have the same resurrection power that worked in Jesus; therefore, we have absolute authority over him.
