God is a heart God; everything He seeks to develop in us is developed in the heart. Deuteronomy 6:5  is one of the most important Scriptures in the Bible. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” This one Scripture embodies the way we must interpret and apply everything God has ever spoken. Of course, Jesus brought it into full focus when He combined it with the second most important Scripture, love your neighbor as yourself.

Jews confessed this verse three times a day in an attempt to connect to God’s love. Religious-minded people have insanely clung to the idea that knowing the correct information was the equivalent to believing. But believing is a function of the heart, not the mind! When we believe something in our heart it alters our sense of self. Then putting it into practice is natural. Obedience is the natural expression of believing. Everything we do is the product of our beliefs.

God is a heart God; everything He seeks to develop in us is developed in the heart. Love, faith, obedience and everything related to our spiritual life is a matter of the heart. So, why is the heart omitted from the majority of 21st century Christianity? Simple! We don’t know or maybe we just don’t believe what the Bible teaches about the heart. After all, it isn’t in line with western culture or orthodox dogma. JOIN ME this week to discover the most important missing ingredient in modern Christianity: The Heart Factor!
