Jesus offered us the promise of living water flowing out of our inner man. Living Water represents the Holy Spirit and the multifaceted, abundant life of God that He alone can bring. That promise, like all promises, was conditional. To experience this phenomenon of being saturated with life we had to believe on Jesus According to Scripture!

What do you believe about Jesus, and where did you get that information? Unless your belief is based on what Scripture reveals about Him, it is a vain imagination. Much of what we believe was handed down through religion, our families, and our cultures but is not based on God’s account.

Every feast, every sacrifice, every utensil in the tabernacle, and every commandment of God was a type and shadow of the identity, mission, and purpose of Jesus’ first or second coming; yet, we are ignorant of God’s account of the identity of His Son. Consequently, our faith often fails us because it is not faith in God’s account of Jesus but faith in our ideas about Jesus.

God asks, “Who has believed our report?” I want to introduce you to God’s report of Jesus. I want you to know and experience Him as your:

• Passover Lamb
• Sin Offering
• Soon-Coming Bridegroom
• Deliverer, Provider, and Protector
• Cloud and Fire that Always Leads You
• Baptizer into the Holy Spirit
• And so, so much more

When we surrender religion’s account of Jesus’ identity and accept God’s report, our faith will abound, our fears will subside, and our emotions will stabilize. Every page of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation will speak to us about His loving kindness. Our eyes will open, and we will see Him as never before when we believe on Jesus According to Scripture!
