Today, the people of God are “reeling” because of the recent invasion and attacks against the nation of Israel. In moments like this, we are “reminded” that all the prophecies about the second coming are true. And even more sobering is the fact that we are watching the rise of evil the world over on an unprecedented scale. It has all been prophesied in very specific detail!
The world has always been evil, but what is being done now was always hidden in the background. The evil “players” who are presenting perversion as the new norm have found a way to accomplish their agenda of outlawing morality, promoting evil, and monetizing it simultaneously.
I could go into a detailed and accurate explanation of how all this is happening, but none of that would be beneficial. The most important thing we can do as believers is to listen to our hearts and prepare ourselves for everything God will have us do.
Two monumental events will happen in the not-too-distant future, which will be the most crucial factors since Jesus’ first appearance on Planet Earth. To fulfill His eternal purpose, He will make these two visits to Planet Earth.
The first visit will be “like a thief in the night.” This is when Jesus, as the Bridegroom, will call His bride to meet Him for the Marriage Feast of the Lamb. In English, people call this the rapture, based on a Latin rendering. In Greek, it is the word “harpazo,” meaning to seize or catch away!
He will not come to Planet Earth; instead, He will call us to depart from Planet Earth. This will be based on the model of the Jewish bride responding to the horn blast of her groom, who went away to prepare a place for her and has returned to claim His bride.
The moment we respond to His call, we will put off this body of flesh and put on our new eternal body. Death will lose its power.
In Ephesians 2:2, Paul refers to the prince of the power of the air. Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
I don’t have the space to say all I would like to say about this expression, but the prince over the “air” is a prince who has no real kingdom. Paul warned us not to be shadow boxers who “beat the air” (1 Corinthians 9:26). These are people who fight with an imaginary foe, who is, in reality, only a figment of their imagination. Why is this worth mentioning?
In Greek, there are two main words for “air.” If you stood on the top of a particular mountain and mentioned one word for air, you would point upward to a higher realm. If, however, you used another word for air (aer) you would point down, indicating that you were referring to a specific realm, within a specific altitude.
Interestingly, the realm where Jesus will meet and transform us is the lower realm. This is the realm wherein satan is referred to as the prince of the power of the air (aer). Why is this important?
In this realm, where Satan supposedly has the ability to demonstrate his power. We will meet Jesus, be transformed, and depart with Him, and there is nothing Satan can do about it. We are transformed and become invincible, just as Jesus is invincible. Death has no power over us.
After the Marriage Feast, we may well participate in the Bema Seat (judgment) of Christ, where we all receive our rewards, assignments, and instructions for serving in the millennium. We will approach our task with the realization that Satan cannot hurt us and has absolutely no authority over us! We will have already invaded His realm and prevailed!
Then, we will return with Jesus to rule and reign. We will put down the worldwide rebellion of the antichrist and his followers. Then. for 1000 years, we will see and experience what life on Planet Earth could have been if we had trusted and followed Jesus as Lord!
Keep your focus on these eternal realities. Do not allow yourself to be distracted by the chaos of the world. Remain stable by the absolute assurance of God fulfilling His every promise to the Church and the Nation of Israel! Please continue to help us financially as we continue to take the Gospel of the Kingdom to the ends of the Earth. Lay up for yourselves eternal riches that can never be lost, stolen, or destroyed!
