If you didn’t get to attend World Changers Weekend I hope you have at least had an opportunity to watch the videos in our World Changers Exclusive area of our website. This was such an incredible weekend. We had great worship. It was very “stripped down” and simple. We only sang about three or four different songs the entire weekend. We wanted to facilitate real worship where we connected with God in our heart, not just sing a lot of complicated words and melodies. It was great! I felt like I was in a meeting back in the 70’s with a bunch of “Jesus People” who had the one combined goal of exalting our God!
Ed Elliott and Steve Corgan did a wonderful job of sharing simple truth from their hearts that everyone found so encouraging. If you’ve never met Steve Corgan, he is involved in world outreach and pastor development primarily in Central America. He and his wife, Gwen, have given their lives for the Spanish- speaking people to know God’s love, grace, peace, and faith righteousness. Most of you know Ed Elliott, The Vagabond Evangelist, who is actively pioneering this message all over the world! Then many of you met Steve Spillman, president of True Potential Publishing and the new owner of Milestones Publishing. Steve has come alongside in a major way to help us get this message out to the entire world. It was a great weekend. For those of you who could not make it, please enjoy the free videos as my gift to you.
This month in our program we are revisiting Grace. Even if you have been walking in this for years, please enjoy the programs. Every day and from every corner you are bombarded with either legalism or lawlessness. It is impossible to keep your heart established in grace when we are exposed to so much error UNLESS we continually renew our minds. Many pastors and Bible teachers read Grace: The Power to Change and The Gospel of Peace every year. Besides renewing connection to the fundamentals, they tell me they see and experience something new every time they study these powerful classics.
If, however, you have never read the books or listened to the series, it is a must! Until we have a sure (immovable, unwavering) foundation in The Gospel of Peace and Grace: The Power to Change we will never actually grasp the New Covenant. We will constantly find ourselves mixing law and grace. And as Paul warned, when you mix law (legalism) and grace you neutralize the power of grace (Galatians 2:21).
I have a vision of God’ people strong, stable, and immovable by any outside force, and I know grace, peace, faith righteousness, and the love of God is the only thing that will make that happen.
Together we are changing the way the world sees God… and changing the way the believer sees himself!
