Those who are established in authority stop fighting useless battles and make faith choices that become reality. One reason we fight so many battles is because we tend to never deal with the most important issues. Once we settle the issue of our identity in Christ most of the circumstantial battles disappear. There’s a reason we are supposed to start this journey by believing in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. All of our faith is based on this one fact. The more we know about what Jesus accomplished through the resurrection, the more our life is effortlessly and instantaneously transformed.

When we believe anything in our heart it alters our sense of identity. As we meditate and ponder on what happened from the cross to the throne, the more we choose His victories as our own, the more we take on that identity. In other words, His victories become our victories and His identity becomes our identity. This is the greatest battle for your faith. Those who never settle this issue seldom settle any of life’s crucial issues, i.e. they’re always fighting battles! Those who become established in their identity in Him become established in their authority.
