Jesus extended every believer the invitation to be more than servants. This doesn’t mean we cease to be servants; it means we become more than servants. As children, heirs, disciples, and ambassadors, we will always be servants. But as friends, we get to enjoy a level of personal interaction unheard of by mere slaves.
