The great failure of the modern Church is to preach or even comprehend the Gospel of the Kingdom. The Gospel of the Kingdom is based on the fact the Kingdom of God is a realm we enter into and Jesus is the King/Lord of that realm.
People ignorant of the Bible and those needing justification for a compromised life don’t relate to Jesus as Lord; they want Him as Savior, but not their Lord. Rather than accept Jesus’ interpretation of God’s commands/life prescriptions they claim that Jesus cancelled them, although He says the exact opposite. They desire to establish their own morals, values and standards while rejecting God’s. They don’t seek to glorify God; they seek to glorify themselves and their opinions.
The world, even many who call themselves Christians, consider themselves to be more fair, just and loving than God, i.e. more righteous. The Bible says they condemn God in order to declare themselves just! While speaking the name of Jesus they lead people away from God into destruction.
