Come by the Blood Music
$9.99
This album is not polished. The recording is poor and, obviously, the songs are very dated to that era. This CD was created to provide a model for worship leaders, something they could take back to their churches and share with their teams. What is not obvious is the fact that we went into a studio and just started worshipping. There were no breaks between the songs. This is simply our Worship Band actually worshipping, giving little thought to the quality of recording or other imperfections!
Impact Ministries was a pioneer in contemporary worship. As poor as this recording is, it influenced worship in thousands of churches around the world!
Description
Description
In the 1980’s delegations were sent from churches all across America and other countries to observe how we conducted our worship services. These hungry pastors wanted to use our model to reach their generation. They wanted to know what “Contemporary Church Services” looked like.
We taught them many important principles. These were the top four:
- Rewrite good hymns and songs to make them more biblical.
- Change the pronouns from “we” and “you”, to “I”. Make it personal between the worshipper and God.
- Modernize the music to make it more contemporary and acceptable to the generation and culture you are attempting to reach.
- How to flow in the Holy Spirit and make it comfortable and natural
