Episode 06: Stop Overexplaining

Have you ever made a mistake that seemed to follow you everywhere you go? Maybe you’ve asked God for forgiveness and genuinely wanted to move forward, but you still feel tied to your past.

In this message, I share an important truth about failure, restoration, and God’s heart toward His people. Looking at the story of Balaam, we’ll uncover a doctrine that has influenced much of the church for generations, the belief that when people fail, God turns against them. The truth may surprise you.

Sin brings consequences, but those consequences are not God abandoning you. Too many believers remain trapped by shame, guilt, and the opinions of others because they never learn how to break free from the emotional ties to their failures. If you’re constantly reliving old mistakes or waiting for others to show you mercy before you move forward, you’re carrying a burden God never intended for you to bear.

God is in the restoration business. His desire is to heal, restore, and rebuild. The question is: will you allow Him to lead you beyond your past and into the future He has prepared for you?

I believe this message will help you stop looking backward, leave condemnation behind, and start walking in the freedom Jesus purchased for you.

Everyone has a set of core beliefs for identity, self-image and self-worth, and it’s from this Life Matrix that every decision is determined. We can never succeed when we make any decision that exceeds these beliefs. We do one of three things with goals and dreams that exceed our Life Matrix: we disqualify ourselves and never try, we quit before we accomplish the goal or we sabotage our success. Therefore, self-worth is one of man’s deepest needs.

According to one of America’s great leaders, “America doesn’t have a sin crisis, it has a self-worth crisis.” If you feel like a king you act like a king and you make decisions like a king. Lack of self-worth often drives us to the need for professional accomplishments, material possessions, and personal comparisons and judgments; yet, none of these provide the sense of dignity that God intended for man.

In the beginning God crowned man with dignity and worth from which he ruled Planet Earth. We will only discover the life God has for us when we experience Bible-based self-worth. In this powerful series you will be taken through the process of establishing a biblically-based self-worth founded in your identity in Jesus. A few of the many benefits you will gain are:

• You will discover God’s incredible value for you.
• You will change the way you feel about yourself.
• You will be transformed by experiencing dignity and worth.
• You will find insights into the true biblical basis for spiritual authority.
• You will change the way you see others by changing the way you see yourself.
• You will experience the incredible power of dignity and worth.
• And much, much more…

Investing in your dignity and worth will be one of the best investments of your life!
