Whenever we make an effort to change something in our lives, we need to see consistent, predictable results in a reasonable amount of time! Nothing is more discouraging than putting forth the effort and not seeing results, or when we do see results, they are “hit or miss.” The Bible warns, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick!"
When we don’t see results we sometimes:
♦ Become depressed
♦ Become angry with ourselves and angry with God
♦ Begin asking the wrong questions
♦ Forget what has already worked in our lives
Predictable and timely results, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, have been one of my top priorities in all aspects of ministry. I began studying biblically-based Energy Medicine in the 1970s and went through a lot of trial and error (mostly error.) I experienced many different therapies and programs that made great promises but got few results. Over time I refined my search to the following:
♦ It had to be biblically congruent
♦ It had to fit into real life
♦ It had to achieve predictable results
Remember, the Bible not only tells us to guard our hearts, it tells us to guide and establish our hearts! Establishing the heart sets one on a course to automatically ALWAYS KNOW GOD’S ACTION PLAN FOR EVERY SITUATION!
