I checked out of my hotel at 4:30 am this morning and made my way to the international airport after a weekend meeting in Edmonton, Canada. As I sit waiting for my flight I am enjoying positive reflections of a weekend that attests to God’s movement in the body of Christ.
For the first 20 years that I experimented with what I now call “heart work” I never discussed it with anyone. Even though the principles of meditation are in the Bible hundreds of times, like so many essential truths, it had been lost to Western, carnal thinking.
It would be alright if you called it “the flow” or “the presence of God,” “the anointing,” “a move of the Spirit” or as some groups call it, “soaking”… just don’t call it meditation. Even though the word is in the Scripture, biblical meditation, reflection, and contemplation have been dismissed by the body of Christ as New Age heresy!
But the original language of both the Old and New Testaments tell us there is no promise of transformation apart from some meditative, reflective process. It can’t get any plainer than the parable of the sower. The one central thought of this insightful parable tells us the Word only bears fruit in our life when it is sown and nurtured in the soil of our heart! Jesus explains that this process is the only means whereby we will understand any of the parables.
Most concepts of interacting with God create a scenario wherein mankind is waiting for God (who is made to appear reluctant) to manifest himself. This idea is just the opposite of what the Bible presents. God is ready and willing to show Himself to us in every situation; we are the ones who are reluctant and withdrawn from His presence. He is present, we are anointed. We can enter into “His flow” any time we choose! But that only happens when we leave the realm of the intellectual mind and enter the realm of the heart!
The heart is the one place God has promised to meet us, manifest His grace, speak to us, and express His love. But the heart is the one place we have historically refused to go to meet with our Savior. But this is a new day.
Every month I am crisscrossing the continent speaking to people about connecting with God in their heart. The world is ready to hear this liberating truth. I was able to share things with this group that ten years ago would have caused them to cover their ears and run for the door. Now they are not only listening, they are putting it into practice. Person after person is sharing incredible stories of life-transforming experiences through their practice of Heart Physics!
Whether it’s ministers meetings, believers meetings, local churches, Facebook, or across my kitchen table… everywhere I go people are ready and willing to meet God in their heart. They are finished with superficial Christianity. They now realize God is a heart God and we are heart people. Unless what we are doing is from, through, and with our heart it is intellectual vanity! What a great day for the Church!
This month we are releasing a book that has been forty years in the making: Moving Your Invisible Boundaries. This book is destined to be the cornerstone for a new generation that wants to have a heart-driven relationship with God! Just as God gave me a release to publish the Heart Physics program, He gave me a release to print this book. I am in excited anticipation of the groundswell that will emerge for it!
None of these world-changing, pioneering efforts could ever happen if it were not for you, our World Changer Family who had the heart to see this before the rest of the world could see it. You have made much of this journey with me and made it possible to reach what I believe to be an historic place, not only in history, but in eternity! Words cannot express my gratitude for your courage to step beyond the confines of religion and follow God with me on this amazing adventure!
You’ll love this month’s World Changers message. It is the perfect support for any heart work. It is a short recording you can play in the background as you go about simple tasks or while you relax. You can use it as a meditation exercise or even play it while you sleep. I hope you will use and enjoy it daily. This recording is also a great tool for introducing others to biblical meditation. It is short and simple enough that they will be receptive.
I hope to see you at World Changers Weekend in Huntsville July 19-21 or in some of the meetings across the country! I pray that you are able to enjoy this incredible moment of new influence we will create in the body of Christ! Today, more than ever, together we are changing the way the world sees God!
Abundant Blessings!
Jim
