Is Doctrine Important? Absolutely!
Sound doctrine is vital; it condenses the Bible’s many teachings into clear, practical concepts that help us understand truth. However, humanity has a poor track record, often twisting God’s truth into man-made doctrines and rules exalted above His Word. Jesus called these “the traditions of men,” warning they make the Word of God “of no effect” (Mark 7:13). When doctrine is elevated, it destroys faith in God’s truth.
Sadly, the modern church often repeats this, with believers knowing more about denominational doctrine than the doctrines of God. Instead of seeking God’s Spirit-led voice, many substitute doctrine—even using it to justify the life they want.
This week, let’s explore the dogmatic ways believers approach the doctrine of Jesus’ second coming. People often develop extreme ideas in fearful times, looking for safety. But Jesus never taught that correct doctrine gives us peace.
Our safety and peace don’t come from doctrine; they come from a personal, intimate relationship with God, hearing and trusting the Holy Spirit. When the world feels chaotic, knowing and walking with God will give us peace, not our end-time beliefs. In the absence of a living relationship, people seek security in their beliefs and often become argumentative.
Everything we need to overcome comes not from doctrine, but from intimate leadership from God.
Join me this week to discover how to experience true peace and confidence—the kind that only comes from knowing God personally, and hearing His voice. Let’s move beyond doctrine into the living relationship that makes us more than conquerors.

Are you a Christian concerned about the coming tribulation? While the Bible presents three options for believers—die for your faith, barely endure, or become an overcomer—this book is for those who choose the third path. It’s not enough to simply prepare for tribulation; we must prepare for the return of the Lord. An overcomer focuses on the solution, not the problem.
In this fresh, yet scriptural, look at Jesus’ return, you will discover the spiritual history of the world and understand how we’ve reached this point of darkness. You’ll finally see past Lucifer’s actual strategies, uncover the truth about ancient myths and legends, and learn how legalism has taken hold of the entire world. This book will help you identify the spirit at work in both the world and the Church, understand how world governments will be seduced by Mystery Babylon, and recognize the apostate religion, the false Christ, and the false prophet. Ultimately, you’ll learn the only way to prepare for what lies ahead. This book offers a straightforward, biblical plan for the future, with practical application sections in almost every chapter to help you live as an overcomer.
