On Wednesday I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Charlie Kirk’s murder. He was murdered in an act of absolute lawlessness. Charlie wasn’t a man of violence or extremism. He didn’t storm into debates with shouting or insults. He created open forums where questions could be asked, opinions expressed, and truth pursued. But here’s the problem: the same people who demanded to be heard did not want Charlie to reply. They weren’t looking for truth; they only wanted to silence it.

That is the nature of extremism. It doesn’t want dialogue. It doesn’t want answers. It wants total compliance. Extremists thrive on controlling the narrative, and the moment someone exposes the weakness of their arguments, they resort to character assassination or, in extreme cases like yesterday, the lawless ending of human life. I watched an interview where a former spy said, “Anytime your freedom of speech is restricted, you are living in a psyop.” That’s exactly what we’re seeing play out in America.

Why was Charlie Kirk so hated? Because his influence reached young people on college campuses. American college campuses are the very place that has been infiltrated with socialist values and they have been used to indoctrinate our youth with lies. The media has relentlessly attacked Charlie, not because he was spreading hate, but because he dared to stand for values rooted in the Bible. They hate conservative values because they are based on Biblical values. Proverbs 10:18 warns us: “Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.” That’s what the media and political elites have done: they built a strawman to hide the real target of their hatred, the righteousness of God. If you hate righteousness, you will hate God and everyone who upholds the values of God. 

The truth is that this battle isn’t ultimately political. Extremists don’t hate the imaginary “god” they’ve invented for themselves; they hate the God of the Bible. They hate righteousness, morality, honesty, and justice. Psalm 2 paints the picture clearly: “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.’” This is why those who uphold godly values, whether in politics, family, or society, become the target of such hatred.
