7. Nothing Has Dominion Over You
One of the most insidious lies promoted by religion is this: When you fail or give in to temptation, you give the devil authority over you. When Jesus was raised from the dead, He said, “All authority is given to me in heaven and earth.” If the authority was given to Him, we can’t give it away. It’s not ours to give. The Bible says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. The Holy Spirit has more power than the devil had before he fell. We have more authority than he has ever had.
